The last few weeks have certainly transformed all of our lives in ways we could have never imagined. I wanted to take a moment to share some of the actions we have taken as a company in support of our staff, guests and community. Our seasonal folks, that were let go early, received an extra week of pay to soften the burden of closing earlier than scheduled. We have established work from home guidelines for essential staff in departments such as finance, marketing and other areas, to keep our resort up and running. We have also established a safe environment for critical on-site staff who continue to work to ensure that our people and assets are safe and secure. We closed our Snowshoe rental lodging until further notice and have encouraged third party rental companies to do the same. We’ve asked homeowners to follow same practices and stay home during this time in order to assist in keeping our rural community as safe as possible and reduce the possible exposure to COVID-19.
 
Snowshoe’s outreach to our communities has been ongoing. We’ve supplied Pocahontas Hospital with supplies such as mask, cleaning supplies, paper product, etc. to keep up with high demand. We’ve contributed trucks full of food,  beverage and essential tools to help our local food banks and families in need and will continue in those efforts.
 
Today we put in place a deeper lay off of remaining staff, who can use paid time off as well as take advantage of low earnings from the State and Federal stimulus packages that are being offered. We will reevaluate all circumstances at the end of April. At that time, we hope to have a clearer scope on where we’re at and what the next steps are. There is no commitment yet on opening for summer, of course I certainly hope we can get there. Following social distancing and staying put in your home will certainly get us there faster. For now, stay healthy and safe and I will continue to update as I know more.
