IMPORTANT UPDATE Regarding Key Access into Residential Hallways
Posted on Jan 13th, 2023
Greetings Allegheny Springs Homeowners –
I hope this email finds you well and that you had a wonderful holiday season. Recently, your Board of Directors met to discuss owners’ concerns regarding building security and unauthorized use of the pool and hot tub by non-Allegheny Springs guests. It was determined that the open/unsecured doors that lead from the lobby to the east and west wings of the building contribute to unauthorized access of building amenities and common areas. Therefore, the Board has decided that in order to quell opportunities of future unauthorized building access, the doors (shown in the attached photos) will return to their original locked design effective immediately. The key cards that provide access to other egresses and building amenities will also open these doors. Please note that the electronic locks have been present at these locations since original construction with the intent to ensure private access to residential hallways and amenities. We have also been advised by a representative of the Association’s insurance company to keep common areas secured from non-authorized persons. Lastly, management is working with maintenance to install card reader locks at both entry gates to the pool area as well as the elevators at the basement level. Additional signage will also be installed. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this matter.
Best regards,
