Greetings Allegheny Springs Homeowners –
We hope that you are having a safe and enjoyable summer season. So far, the Mountain has hosted several successful events such as Wanderlust and GNCC, and with the Homegrown Festival and the much anticipated 4848 Festival on the horizon, this summer event season is sure to be one of the best. As you may be aware, your Board and management team have been busy with many HOA projects including the renovation of the building interior, resurfacing of the hot tub, repainting of the courtyard trellis, and replacement of the courtyard firepit and chairs.
We would like to inform you that the Annual Meeting of the Members of the Allegheny Springs Condominium Association, Inc. will be held on Sunday, August 4th at 1:00pm in the Allegheny Springs Hearth Room. Please let us know if you are able to attend by July 21st so that we may adequately plan for the meeting.
At the annual meeting, there will be an election for three (3) Directors of the Board as allowed by the Association bylaws. We encourage each owner to participate in the election for Directors and request that we receive your intent to run for the Board no later than Wednesday, July 17th at 5:00pm EST. We also encourage any owner who runs for the Board to submit a one-page biography outlining your background and interest in serving on the Board. Additionally, your bylaws provide for cumulative voting for Board elections only. This means that the one vote allocated to your unit is multiplied by the number of open positions on the Board (3), and you may cast those votes in any combination that you wish (one vote for 3 different candidates or multiple votes allocated to a single candidate to equal a total of three).
The proposed budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year will also be voted upon for ratification by the ownership at this meeting. A copy of this proposed budget can be found in the "Owner-Privileged Information" section of the HOA website and reflects a 0% average increase for residential units; a proxy form for your vote for ratification will be sent to the ownership with a subsequent notice with the meeting agenda and election ballot.
