ANNOUNCEMENT: Governing Documents Committee
Posted on Aug 16th, 2019
Greetings Homeowners –
A copy of the minutes of the annual meeting of the ownership of Allegheny Springs that occurred on August 4th, 2019 is now available to view under the "Owner-Privileged Information" section of the website. The candidates elected to the board were Voras Haynes, Geoff Truslow (of Pacific Group Resorts) and Stephanie Dilley (of Snowshoe). For the upcoming year, two of the three board members represent commercial interests. A similar outcome is likely to re-occur in the future given the low participation by homeowners at the annual meetings unless changes are made to the governing documents. Both board members representing the commercial interests have expressed their support for a revision to the Allegheny Springs Declaration to enlarge the board and ensure that there is a majority of homeowner representatives on the board in the future. The board president, Voras Haynes, has created a Governing Documents Committee to review and propose changes to the Declaration, Bylaws, and any other governing documents. The chair of the committee is Gordon Copland and the remaining members are as follows: Kenny George, Joe Hager, Adam Kubicki, Cliff Marstiller, Tim Miley, and Stephanie Dilley. We also encourage any other homeowners who might have input or suggestions for the committee to reach out to Mr. Copland at Gordon.Copland@Steptoe-Johnson.com.
Additionally, all owners should be able to access the owner-privileged portion of the HOA website (www.alleghenyspringshoa.com) by using the primary email address that is on file with the HOA. When you go to log in, you will be prompted to change your password. If you have any issues with logging into the website, please email info@mountainlife.net and we will be happy to assist you.
If you have questions regarding any of the business that was discussed at the annual meeting, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time.
Best regards,
Meredith McNeely
Association Manager
